Dr. Robert Bourmorck Rhoades grew up in Marietta, Ohio and always knew he wanted to be a doctor. Dr. Rhoades went to the University of Florida in Gainesville where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science and Chemistry in 1963, and 1967 graduated from the M.D program. His professional training continued in 1967-1968 where he attended Childrens Medical Center, Dallas, Texas to complete his internship in Pediatrics. He returned to the University of Florida, College of Medicine to complete Pediatric residency and Allergy fellowship, which was completed in 1974. Dr. Rhoades has been licensed in Georgia, South Carolina and Florida. He is board certified in both Pediatrics and Allergy and Clinical Immunology. In December of 1968 he joined the Army as a battalion surgeon and served in Vietnam. Dr. Rhoades branched off and opened his first private practice in 1978, building over 13 total locations in the CSRA (Central Savannah River Area) over the years. He is on the medical staff at Doctors Hospital for 39 consecutive years and holds several higher education appointments. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family. Over the course of his medical career, Dr. Rhoades has helped thousands of patients and enjoys every last opportunity he has to change a life.
Elizabeth Faye Forbes joined the practice in 1976. Faye began her journey in the health care field by attending University of Delaware in 1961 and graduating with a BS in Biology in 1965. At Brandywine College in Wilmington, Delaware, she completed an Associates Degree in Business Administration from 1967 & 1968. In 1974 she began the Physicians Assistant Program located at the Medical College of Georgia. In 1976 she successfully completed the course graduating with a Bachelors of Science in 1976. She was ordained to the Deaconate in the Episcopal Church in 2009 and continues to serve St. Augustine's Church in Augusta. Her medical education continues with yearly attendance at the Allergy and Immunology conference earning 40-50 CME credits. Faye also completes 100 total hours every two years in general medicine. Faye was an advisor on the Committee for Physician's Assistant Program, School of Allied Health Sciences, Medical College of Georgia. She obtained a scholarship to Delaware Art Center & Pennsylvania Institute of Art, Honor Graduate. When she is not treating patients in the office she enjoys spending her time with her two children and grandchild, reading a good novel and enjoying the beautiful weather we have in Augusta. Faye has been a professional partner and colleague for many cherished years. She enjoys meeting new patients and getting to know them on a professional and personal level.
